Alchemy is grateful to America’s service members, and we are
delighted to offer a discount to veterans and retired US military. We
would love for you to join us at San Francisco’s own steampunk
festival to enjoy whimsical music, art, literature, crafts, shopping,
dancing, and more!
Our
staff includes veterans of all branches, all working toward the same
ends: Putting on the best event we can! This
year’s offerings include panels on writing military fiction and the
science behind airship travel. We have experts on military history in
attendance, as well as inventors of alternate military histories. In
the War Room, you can try your hand at wielding a luminous
aetherblade, practice the storied art of Bartitsu, and learn to
defend your airship from pirates.
If you’re more in the mood to relax and enjoy the atmosphere, have a cuppa in the Alchemists’ Tea Parlour, or browse the Artists’ Bazaar and Artists’ Gallery to see what wonders our local makers have put together. If you are an artist or maker yourself, stop by the Makers’ Market and peruse the equipment and tools on offer.
And don’t forget the nightly festivities with musicians from around the country and across the spectrum.
