Greetings, steampunks! We are pleased to invite you to join us on October 16-18, 2026 for this year’s Clockwork Alchemy convention! Clockwork Alchemy is a science fiction and fantasy convention celebrating the creative and adventurous spirit of steampunk, alternate history, and pre-atomic science fantasy. Fans of authors such as Jules Verne and media such as Girl Genius, Arcane, Shadow and Bone, Wild Wild West, and Detective Dee and more are heartily welcome here!
Each year we present a theme to inspire our attendees. Each theme is open ended, enabling you to interpret them as your heart desires and freeing you to express your creativity as you see fit. Our theme for 2026 is “Rogue Makers & Air Pirates.”
For “Rogue Makers & Air Pirates,” we encourage you to embrace the spirit of independence. Craft wonders that others fear to dream of and venture into the skies to feel the sun and storms on your face. Rogue Makers & Air Pirates don’t fear standing out or standing apart; they embrace their uniqueness and set out into the world to be their best selves!
This year we’re also happy to introduce Brad, a plucky winged friend with a heart of gold and radium who will be your friendly guide and companion. Our theme embraces the contrasts between rich colors, shining gold and glowing crystals. Darkness and light, softness and strength, mechanisms and life. We hope that this energetic tension inspires you!
