Open to the general public!

Clockwork Alchemy is all but upon us, and now that I’ve typed those words I’m only mildly freaking out. Just a touch. Maybe a dram’s worth of freaking out is the best way to put it.

We have a new home, new guests of honor, and … drum roll … NEW MAKERS!

This year, the Clockwork Alchemy Artists’ Bazaar will play host to many of your favorites. We have crafters and builders, sculptors and jewelers, clothiers and artists, and in keeping with our DIY maker aesthetic, the items for sale are 90% handmade by the vendors themselves.

A special and exciting aspect of this year’s Artists’ Bazaar is that our vending hall is open to the general public. That’s right! If you’re staying at the San Mateo Marriott on the weekend of April 18-20 this year, you are free to wander through, browse the wares and trinkets, and hopefully find something to take home with you.

Be it a gift for yourself or a friend or loved one, the Clockwork Alchemy Artists’ Bazaar is sure to surprise and delight. If you live in the area and have always wondered what this whole Steampunk thingy is all about, you are also welcome to visit the bazaar. Our first floor location, just off the main lobby, means you needn’t be a hotel guest to enter—we’d love to tour you through the hall!

Of course, attending the entire convention also gets you access to our evening musical entertainment, daily demonstrations of martial skill in the War Room, jollity and frivolity on the lawn with Battle Croquet and Tea Pot Racing, a cast of writers ready to share their tales and talents in the Authors’ Alley, our very own Tea Parlour, and a Games Room ready for you to plunge into dungeons deep or challenge your friends to any number of meeple-based contests.

Registration is open! Come one, come all, and see what’s on display this year at Clockwork Alchemy!
