Message from the Chairs:

It is with heavy hearts that, in accordance with the public health guidelines of San Mateo County and the Governor’s Office of California regarding the spread of COVID 19, we must announce the cancellation of Clockwork Alchemy 2020 (March 20-22, 2020).

We dearly love our CA Family and we must do what we can to protect the most vulnerable among us.  This was not an easy decision, but we know the CA Family is strong, caring, and will look forward to 2021.

We had a cornucopia of treats lined up to delight our attendees and it is just devastating to have to cancel.

However, do not fear, we are going to roll over our Theme of “Marvelous Makers” to our planned Clockwork Alchemy 2021 (March 19-21) and start getting ready for what will surely be a glorious reunion.

We know you have many questions.  Below is a list of FAQs that should hopefully answer most of them.  However, if you do not see your question addressed, please contact for additional help.

We love you, CA Family.  Please be extra careful. Stay safe.  Stay healthy. Follow public health guidelines.  Support each other. We will get through this and come back stronger than ever in 2021!

  • Can I get a refund for my attendee membership?  At this time, we are not offering cash refunds but will be automatically rolling over all current 2020 memberships for 2021.  You should receive confirmation of this in your email shortly.
  • Can I cancel my hotel room?  Change or cancel your reservation.
  • I’m a vendor or an author.  Can I get a refund for my booth fees?  At this time, we are not offering cash refunds.  We are applying booth fees from 2020 to 2021 along with automatic acceptance into our Artist’s Bazaar and Authors’ Alley.
  • Can I cancel or change my flights?  A lot of airlines are being generous about no cancellation fees or change fees.  Please call your airline to see if your ticket can be transferred or refunded.
  • I hear that Artists, Authors, and Musicians are suffering because of the mass cancellation of events.  How can I help?  Below is a list of our vendors, authors, artists, and musical guests and their webpages.  Please do go support them at the links below!!!
  • I’m feeling sad about CA2020 being cancelled!  We are too!  Please engage with your fellow Steampunks on our Fans of Clockwork Alchemy FB page.  We all need connection, community, and family.
